About GatePromos

Teams hand out bobbleheads, jerseys, hats and odd little keepsakes at the gate, usually to the first few thousand fans through the turnstiles. Some end up on a shelf for thirty years. The record of what was given out, and when, is scattered across team calendars, press releases and old forum posts. GatePromos puts it in one place you can search.

Where the data comes from

Each giveaway comes from the team’s published promotional schedule or, when a team doesn’t publish one we can read, from local news coverage of it. Every item page links to its source. We list free gate giveaways only, not items that come with a special ticket package.

Spotted a mistake?

Dates move and items get swapped. If something here is wrong or missing, corrections from collectors are what keep the catalog right. A submission form is on the way.

How the site is paid for

Links to marketplaces such as eBay may earn us a small commission, at no extra cost to you. It never decides what we list.
